I wish I were Dorothy Parker.
Then everyone would forgive me for my life, currently, being an ongoing disaster area. As it is, everyone who knows me well keeps asking me, annoyingly, what’s going wrong. How the hell do I know? I am not doing it on purpose. It’s hardly as if one choreographs these little crappy interludes at will.
Anybody out there, starting life from scratch, apart from all the other pieces of advice I could give you, here is one: Never EVER give the impression that you are a perfect perfectionist. It’ll be held against you to the end of your days.
In fact, I can see the engraving now: “Here lies U – she started out perfect, now look what’s happened to her.”
