Void now and tenebrous

When I want to be happy and cry at the same time there is one sure fire way of inducing both tears and a smile.

I don’t indulge myself often – say once a year – but when I hear the recording of a particular poem, delivered with perfect diction and a most wonderful voice, I can’t help to be overcome; both by joy and sorrow. At my request it will be played at my funeral.

And no, I am not dying this moment, so no need to start writing notes of condolence or my obituary yet.

I just think that we should appreciate and celebrate that which has the capacity of enriching our life.
