Traits and behaviours – Chapter One
In no particular order
Arrogance – commendable, to some extent, if founded on evidence to support the claim
Self deprecation – don’t overdo it, it’s not attractive
Conceit – why not? As does pride, it will come before its fall
Cynicism - if judiciously applied can be witty at times – though eventually tiring for the audience. May I also remind all of you who pride yourselves on this particular trait: ‘Cynic’ means a member of an ancient Greek school of philosophers who despised wealth and pleasure. Donations welcome.
Vanity – now there is one which exercises us all, male and female alike. And not just in the beauty stakes. Flattery will get you not everything – but a lot of hot air.
To be continued …
