I like twitter. So boring for the reader yet so refreshing for the author.

My sister-in-law sweetly announced that she is planning to fly over any time soon. Which is good because no one – other than you, Vern – has ability to throw me into a more inmediate flurry of cleaning the house top to bottom and weeding the garden to an inch of any butterfly passing; when in truth I should be spending my time earning money. Still, I look forward to seeing my dear Pixy again. In the first flush of their courtship my brother Alexander threw a god almighty wobbly over Manuela’s relationship with her vacuum cleaner. Something had to give and it was quite clearly not her hoover – yet they have just celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary.

Since I tend to start at the bottom end of what needs to be done I have spent a most unhappy day filing paper, archiving, having a fight with Apple Mac. Even the oh so sensitive poet who called me from the comfort of his bed at midday, intuited my irritation immediately and, knowing what’s good for him, offered to call back later. For light relief, this afternoon, I was cheered, and how few others are able to, by the voice of the sweet master of all of Apple’s core issues. Not that I have had a result yet. Where do you find patience when you need it? And why is life so ……. complicated when it could be so easy?
